David Haines - is a composer & educator living in Teignmouth since 1989. He runs Teignmouth Community Choir and Springtide Music Theatre and is known especially for his interest in promoting interest in the sciences through song. He has strong links with the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts, where several of his works have been performed and where he has run numerous songwriting and singing workshops in the city schools.

Springtide Community Music Theatre - stages productions of innovative new works from time to time. Our productions have ranged from 60 performers to only 5 or 6 and we have performed as far afield as Plymouth, Malvern and Massachusetts. Anyone can join at any level of experience and we are always especially keen to recruit non-performing company members.
