The 10th Teignmouth Folk Festival was held on- 20 to 22 June 2008 Taking part were the following:-
Malinky- Scotland's finest song quintet. Ranked among today's foremost young exponents of Scottish music and song. (Winners of Danny Kyle Open Stage Award).
Wistman’s Wood- Trio featuring three of Devon's finest musicians.
The mrs ackroyd band- Les Barker's strange imagination soars to musical heights on the stunning voices of Alison Younger and Hilary Spencer and the wizard keyboard arrangements of Chris Harvey, accompanied by a selection of hats, fruit and inflatable pigs.
Alison younger- Singing is Alison's first love, and in particular the singing of Scottish traditional songs.
Chris Turner- The well known Playford Caller called for the Sunday Tea Dance.
There were street performances by Cotswold, Border, Northwest (Clog) Morris Sides and an Appalachian dance Side.
The Beach Stage near The Ship Inn had a selection of lively groups throughout the weekend.
